  1. (Sorry for this list but who ever helps me will be a great help)
The answer to this question(What has better quality VCD or SVCD) is probuly going to be that SVCD is better, but how much better? Better enough to redo almost 100+ movies over again for better quality? My VCD movies which I play on a Mintek 1600 are fuzzy around background images and character images. Will the SVCD have the same problems? In your section it said that my Mintek 1600 plays SVCD's but I tried to play one and it didn't work it just showed a black screen, and then it showed the movie like it was suppose to, but it was all messed up. I also have a question about VCD Header trick when you apply it to a movie after it has been converted into SVCD on Nero do you burn it as a VCD or SVCD?

Thanx for you time and paitence with this your a great help!

the reason svcd is better is the higher resolution and higher bitrate. also its mpeg2, which supports interlaced video. but you can't fit as much on a cd as with vcd. the quality is very good, on my small screen (20 inch) you can't tell the difference between a svcd and a dvd.
the header trick is an mpeg2 with an mpeg1 header. its used to trick a dvd player. you burn it as a vcd. it doesn't work on all players, though.

yes. if the movie is like 2 hours it would fit. any more and you might have to go to a third disc or lower the bitrate.

I have yet to see a mintek 1600 play standard svcds. however they will play them with the header trick. you can also change the mintek to another type of dvdplayer with a flash disk. go to www. nerd-out.com and check the mintek forumswith the header trick you burn as a noncompliant vcd.

    1. Burning A movie that has been ripped by a accual DVD?
    Or
    2. Buring A movie that has been ripped from a VCD?
(Will The fuzzyness go away from me encoding it or will it stay)?

if you encode a vcd into an svcd and stretch it out, the fuzzyness might get worse.
