I thought this might be a good time to let everyone see what the next version of Sizzle will look like, so here it goes.
Stuff to notice: Sizzle will be moving to a document-based interface, so you'll be able to save your DVDs, open them later, edit, then re-save them. I'm also working to move audio/video encoding and disc burning in-app. Finally, though you can't see it much in the picture, I'm trying to add reasonably full-featured DVD menu support. All-in-all, the next release will be a...pretty huge improvement over 0.1. I had wanted to make a 0.1.1 release with just basic saving and menu support, but I've pretty much given up on this idea. Sizzle 0.1 has some serious problems that can't really be fixed without replacing almost the entire code, and that's what I'm doing with 0.5.
And just to get two things out of the way:
Yes, if I have anything to say about it, there will at least be a free version of Sizzle (MPEG-2 encoding may require a shareware-style fee).
No, this new version will likely not be done any time soon (Think 1-2 months, minimum). Sorry.

Whooweeeee! That's one spicy meat-a-ball. Wow, that's quite an incredible update. Easily worth $30-60 if it works well. It would be nice to have a free basic version with only chaptering, muxing and ifo generation funtions (pretty much 0.1 with any bug fixes). A cheap version (like around $10-25) would be nice with menu support, and a pro version with encoding and burning could be full price. One thing I noticed is there doesn't seem to be a menu button overlay asset setting, so how are button overlays (like rollovers) created and customized? Also, would it be possible to substitute a m2v clip for a background pic, and make motion menus? All food for thought. Thanks for the update.
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté." -
Bravo! Can hardly wait! I'd like to break up video and audio chunks into smaller chapters.
