Hope one of you can help, I'm in the final process of choosing my DVD Burner but just want to finalise which format will work for my standalone. I've read the DVD player stuff here but am still a little hesitant due to conflicting info and also the small sample size. Now, what I am after is a DVD-R with a film clip on it (don't care what it is as long as it isn't filth) to validate that my standalone can read it. I'm quite happy to reimburse someone the cost of a DVD-R and postage so that I can put my mind at rest.
Any takers?
Thanks
J

The UK is PAL all you have to do is rip a DVD and encode one minute of video to tell. Or read your manual that will also tell you
