I've used TMPGEnc to encode captured files to be burnt onto a DVD, but I have been capturing some cartoons and tv episodes that I would like to simply keep on my pc and not burn. One of the programs I have been capturing is a cartoon w/ length 11 minutes. When I encode to SVCD format, the size goes down to about 224 MB--but the versions that I have downloaded from the web are all between 60 MB and 100 MB. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to encode my captured version to be this small? They are all AVI files after encoding. Thanks so much for your time and help.

From what I can tell, you want the end result to be a DivX .avi file. As far as bitrates go, follow a guide to convert to DivX w/ MP3 audio and use 192kbps audio and 675-750kbps video.
