HELP: Fitting 2 mpegs on one CD

Hello,

I have two mpeg files that are approx. 440 MB each...Is there some way I can burn both mpeg files onto one CD??? Is there any way to shrink the size of the files so it can fit on one CD or can it already fit on one CD? Please help! Any suggestions???

I limit my (s)vcd to 789M, you can push for more but not over 803M from what I hear on a 700M CDR.

What software do you have to trim the mpeg or re-encode to fit?
Mpeg1 or 2?

the mpeg files I have are mpeg-1 (the ones for a VCD) .... too bad both mpegs can't fit on one CD...sigh..

I believe that you can get 900MB CD-R's but they're not compatible with all burners or players. Maybe someone knows a website where they can be found?

for me, max i could fit on one 80 min CD-R is 795.61 MB.

anywayz, can't go above that limit for 80 min CD-Rs...so, your best bet is to burn on separate CDs....

and, you can't compress them down further if you want to make them standard compliant VCD 2.0...bitrate locked at 1150 kbit/s CBR.
