Just got back from the matinee... this movie was tight! Fun, entertaining plot and nice special effects. Lots of good action that I've missed in a lot of recent movies. I thought it was a whole lot better than "Pirates of the Caribbean" as well.
Anybody else see it yet?

But as you can tell, I have not seen it yet. Maybe I shouldn't judge it so harshly."A beginning is the time for taking the most delicate care that the balances are correct."

I'm still hoping for an adaptation of his comic "V For Vendetta"... apparently the Wachowski brothers have done a script for it, but it's on the back burner at least until after the Matrix trilogy is done....- housepig

Nope- haven't read the comic book.
I certainly can't say this movie is going to win any Oscars, but I liked it for what it was. Fun and entertaining, a little suspenseful (nothing too serious), and yes, corny at times. -
having all those charactors together kept reminding me in a way of Larry Niven's Ringworld (which would make a hell of a movie - but too long for it ever to be done, unless a 6 part or something) ..
