I have been ripping vcds for a while now and havn't had any problems with them untill Spy Kids. After the vcd is done and in mpg, it is real skippy when watching it. So I redone the whole process and got the same thing again but worse this time. So I done another movie and it turned out perfect. Is there a new kind of protection in new dvd's or something? Any sugestions or answers would be great, thx.

  2. I ripped spy kids and didn't have a problem. Smart Ripper 2.34 to put files on hard drive and then I used DVD2MPGsqueezer to encode it. And TMPGENC to encode it to a svcd to fit on 1 80 min cdr.

  3. I wish i could tell you, but i just had the same problem. I tried to rip it to my HD and the movie was really jumpy, i was thinking maybe it was because i was running my servers in the background and thats why i got the skipping, but since you had the same problem then that narrows down my troubleshooting. Maybe we have to update our Smartrippers.

Hmm, I don't think that Smart Ripper itself would be what was causing it but then again I could be wrong. Here is what I used, Smart Ripper to extract the vobs, then DVDSAVI.exe and TMPGEnc.exe. Anyone else rip this dvd?
