    THey hate it because they have lost control. ANd control = money. If they can force you to buy a whole CD for one song then that is money in their hand. the iTunes Store is a step in the right direction, but now I hear the certain bands are not allowing the store to sell single tracks. GREEDY FOOLS!!!!

    My guess is they will change their tune eventually (and I don't mean music ). I believe there are several people out there that feel bad about downloading the music, but do it anyway because of the cost of CDs. But if they can buy download singles, they will go that route. Just look at the popularity of iTunes.

    These people will just pay for what they can, then pirate the music from the bands that won't agree.
