  1. i've converted 2 mpeg files to dvdmpegs using the tmpgenc format
and now i have two files a 2 gig each

my question is now what do i do ??
i've looked through the guides but i must be missing something?

i tried to put it into nero using UDF1.02 but my standalone player said bd disc

ii've tried other ways to convert the files but every time i did it the picture was at the top of the screen (unlead movie, svcd2dvdmpg)

    all help appriciated

  2. Author to DVD compliant file and directory format using a DVD authoring program. You can also add menus, chapters etc at this time.

Check out the Author section for some ideas and help.

  3. ok trying ulead
but is that not the same as just puting the mpeg into unlead and leatting it convert for u
or is it a quicker prossess using the files i converted with tmpgenc first

at the min unlead is video/audio multiplexing
but the files are already multiplexed by tmpenc

when i used unlead to convert directley from mpeg with 44100 audio the picture ended up a the top of the picture??

To be DVD compliant the audio must be 48Khz.

Look at the 'WHAT IS' DVDR link on the left of the page. Scroll down to the etchnical info bit and compare with your mpegs. If they are not DVD compliant Ulead will re-encode, which you want to avoid if at all possible.

In Ulead DVD WS (and probably in MovieFactory) there is a tick box for 'do not convert compliant files'. Find this and make sure it is ticked.
