    Please help, I tried what it says on this site, and it just says can't find the dat file???? what's up with that?

    Go to: http://www.vcdhelp.com/convert.htm (step by step).
    When you convert your .avi file to VCD you'll have a .dat file and not a .mpg file. (.dat and .mpg are the same).
    WMP(Windows Media Player) plays your .dat file(VCD). Make this: load WMP=>Open File=>choose "All files" an after load your .dat file to play it.
