  1. Hi everyone,

I'e decided to open a new topic to try to solve a problem I encounter frequently using Dvd2dvdr.

    See https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=164406

As I've found no solution, I've decided to try differently.

    So, my question is :

Does someone know a guide or can describe the Post-CCE process in Dvd2dvdr ?
I mean, after CCE encoding is finished, Ifoedit opens the "Dvd Author / Multiplex" box.
The M2v stream file, the audio Stream(s) file(s) the Subpicture(s) file(s) and the Celltime.txt are filled and that's where it stops.

Does someone know how to do this in Ifoedit :

    Copying Subtitlecolors
    Adding PreCommands
    Setting Audio to Preset
    Setting Subtitle to Preset
    Setting Provider-ID
    Updating Vts Sectors

    Thanks... a lot.

  3. Hi Wayned,

Thanks a lot for your answer.

    I'm doing Z2 PAL Dvds.

    I'm using a PIII 950 Mhz, HD100 Gb, Pioneer 106D, Win2k, NTFS.

I've done some Dvd5 with Dvddecrypter, tried CloneDvd, Dvd2one, IC and DvdShrink (what a beautifull piece of coding !) and never had any problem.

The reason I'm trying Dvd2dvdr is the quality of CCE...AMAZING !

Anyway, a nice guide you've got there, exactly what I was looking for.

I've burned a movie on a Dvd-rw to test it and it plays perfectly on my stand-alone Dvd Player.

So, it seems i've found a way to handle this.

But I still don't understand why Dvd2dvdr doesn't go till the end of it's process.
And I'm using the latest version, 1.4.9a.

...pandora.be, if you're from Belgium, thanks a lot neighbour.

  5. Not Norton, Trend Officescan anti-virus.

What do you have in mind ?

I also have Pgp Desktop Tools, I thought it could be the problem.
I "logged on" using another Win2k Profile without Pgp but the problem occured again.

    Thanks anyway

  6. sorry for the late reply, But norton anti virus does a little thing called script blocking. This used to be a common problem in the earlier versions, that DVD2DVDR would not finish all the way through the process.

I haven't used Trend Officescan anti-virus, so i can't comment on it. But i recommend either AVG or PC Cillin, Virus scanners.

Also before running DVD2DVDR process make sure you have turned of your screen saver and power settings, and if your going to bed or overwise just turn ur monitor off. Also any other programs in the background should be closed down. The less you have running the faster and more reliable DVD2DVDR will become.

What you could do is shut as many processes down as possible using Task manager, and see if it is a peice of software causing it to halt half way through the process.

    cya good luck

  7. Well Wayned, seems you've found something.

I've made 2 movies turning off my anti-virus...it worked perfectly !

The Pc I'm using is at my office with a Corporate Anti-virus, I can't change it, but fortunately I can turn it off when needed.

I'll try some more movies to be sure.

I admit I should never have thought of this as being the cause of my problems.

So, thanks again a lot for your help.

    Bye
