  1. I am having a problem with making a playable DVD from movie vob files from three other disks. First the three main dvds that i am extracting the vod movie files from are DBZ tree of might, world's strongest, and dead zone. I am using the following softwares, DVD Shrink 2.0 to extract the main movie vob files from three disks. I then followed the guide to make a dvd from vob trailers from this site. I use Vobedit and IFoedit 91 to first join the vobs and then to make ifo and bup files for the joined vobs. But everytime I think I am getting close it only plays on Power DVD. I want to make a disk that plays the three movies back to back, so I don't have to keep putting in several disks, no menus and has only one audio and subtitle channel. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If there is any other information I can supply let me know. Black OMne

  2. Here's an update. I have a cendyne A105, I used the following software: dvdshrink 2.3, vobedit0.06, infoedit0.95, and roxio adaptec easy cd creator v5.0?. I did the following. I ripped the wanted files using dvd shrink. I used reauthoring to get the wanted files at the highest compression removing the extra audio and subtitles. I would then only keep the VTS_01_01.VOB and VTS_01_02.VOB files from each movie. The rest I deleted. I then renamed them to VTS_01_001.VOB, VTS_01_002.VOB, VTS_01_003.VOB, VTS_01_004.VOB, VTS_01_005.VOB, and VTS_01_006.VOB. I then run vobedit to join the files into the VIDEO_TS directory. First I open the first one and then I join the rest to it. I then get VTS_01_01.VOB, VTS_01_02.VOB, VTS_01_03.VOB, and VTS_01_04.VOB. I then run infoedit. I hit create ifo. It asks for VTS_01_01.VOB and then asks where to save the VIDEO_TS.IFO file and I put it into the VIDEO_TS directory. I makes the following files VIDEO_TS.IFO, VTS_01_0.IFO, VIDEO_TS.BUP, and VTS_01_0.BUP Files. I then click on the VIDEO_TS.IFO, VTS_01_0.IFO and select the audio channel setting it to english. I then save the two files and get the vts sectors correcting any errors. At this point it plays from the hard drive on win dvd and power dvd etc. I then open Easy cd creator and burn the files using data dvd at 2x. The resulting disc shows the files but is unreadable to all programs that I try on it.

I basically followed the VOB TRAILER GUIDE and a guide from DOOM9 on DVD SHRINK 2.

    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/t120021.html

    http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/dvdshrink2-main.htm

I how every do not get the following popup menu, dialog first VOB_ID, when using Vobedit the third step vob trailer guide. I did the first time but never got it again. And the first menu on ifodeit as shown on the vob trailer does not appear. I get a popup asking where the vob file is and a popup asking where to save the ifo file. Not the one shown on the guide. I have used the dvd-r's with dvd x copy and the discs play fine. Am I doing something wrong, like using the wrong program to burn the disc or did I miss a step along the way, any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks Black Omne . Note see previous post for more information.

  3. P.S. The final size on the disc was 4.0 gigs and I didn't care about any menus I just want to hit play and watch the three movies back to back. Basically I want the disc to play like the ones made by DVDXCOPY EXPRESS. Thanks again. Black omne

I love how there are still people out there who continue to call the program infoedit instead of IFOEDIT. the program edits .IFOs not .INFOs

just a little bit of INFO for people out there.

data dvd burns don't alway play in dvd players. that's what we use to do last year when there weren't good dvd authoring software out .

and that didn't guarentee that they will all play in dvd players

when i use to do roxio's easy cd plat 5.3 data dvd

only 2 out of every 5 dvds that i burned would play in my dvd player

use nero dvd video, instant cd/dvd 7.0 udf video dvd mode (uncheck the long filename option), gear pro 6 (free trial and makes 100% compliant dvds)

as they make the dvd playable
