I converted an Xvid file to a VCD and burnt it. So the video is fine, and there is audio, but it is about 5~7 seconds behind the video.
I just got ffmpegX so I am a noob at this
but I would appreciate any help with this.

Oh, and it is not the Xvid file, I checked it and its audio is fine.

Rasta I have one more question for you (well for anyone who can help)

You said to keep the framerate and the sampling the same, but the options given to me dont match up. Atleast not that I can tell.

here is what FFMPEGX gives me as options:
    framerate :
    NTSC Film (23.976)
    NTSC(29.97)
    PAL(25)
    Unspecefied

    Sampling :
    48000Hz
    44100
    32000
    22050
    24000
    11025
    12000

or am I looking in the wrong place.....
    thanks for any help again

You are looking in the right place. But what is the framerate of your source file? And what is the sampling rate? You can find this out by clicking on Info in the upper right corner. If you click that you will see what the framerate is: for example 29.97 fps and what the sampling rate is: for example 414000 Hz. Now you must check the corresponding options for the output file.

    Much thanks again Rastapiggy,

now I have encountered another problem, when I load the file and try to click [info] it doesnt do anything
it just sits there and does nothing. I waited about 3~4 minutes incase the process takes sometime, but still nothing. Am I doing something wrong? Or is it something else....

Thanks again in advance, and sorry to keep bugging you
