Hi,
I have 3 mpeg files each of about 40 minutes length, when I have dropped two of them onto the MyDVD interface I have no room left on the disk for the third file, the disk is shown as full i.e. the full 4.7 GB are used. The files are VCD but I assume that MyDVD will do any transcoding etc to make them DVD compatable. Furtheremore the source files are around 800MB each. What am i doing wrong ?
Cheers

Using MyDvd would be my guess. It probably does want to re-encode to full DVD spec, massivly increasing the file size. Worse than that it will also convert all the audio to uncompressed PCM, using up huge amounts of precious disk space.Originally Posted by rawplug
I suggets you try a more flexible authoring app, preferably one with a trial version available so you can try before you buy. DVD-Lab and Ulead DVD workshop are a couple that spring to mind. -
Thanks bugster,
i've given DVD l;ab a try and it seems okay now, big improvement on MyDVD.
