  1. I'm trying to create a audio DVD for a band. They have video footage that will be on the DVD but they also want to put there CD on the DVD. They wanted the lyrics also included.

I'm using DVD workshop. I figured for each song, I would create a different menu. Each menu would have the lyrics and music for that particular song. The user would be able to move forward are back.

My question is, What would I have to do/use to convert this to DVD Audio Quality? I already have the band's CD in wav file format.

    Thanks,
    Eric

(Assuming you really meant a "Music-focused" DVD-Video type DVD and not a true DVD-Audio type disc).
    1st,
Sample rate convert the wav to 48kHz, using best quality available. (tools--SSRC, CoolEdit, Goldwave, ProToolsFree etc.)

Then, if you need the space, compress the audio to AC3, DTS, or MP2. (tools--SonicFoundry SoftEncode, BeSweet, Surcode, TMPGEnc-for mp2 etc)

  3. It's not as easy as just importing the audio into a program. You'll have to break down the band's song into its original elements (drums, guitars, lead vocals, etc.), so that each element has its own .wav file. Then you have to remix the files and encode to .ac3.

If all erico317 wants to do is convert a CD spec wave file to a DVD-Video spec file, it IS that easy. He never said anything about remixing. What in the original post would make you think otherwise?

The hard part of what he's trying to do is in the graphics of the menu creation and in the timing of the lyrics.
