  1. Has any body gotten this to work?? I am trying to make a DVD-VCD of 26 simpsons episodes(400 minutes). I used the guide in the How To section using Ulead Dvd Movie Factory 2. Did exactly what it said and it always hangs at 34% no matter what order I put the clips in. I also tried removing some clips to reduce the size and it did the same thing. Is there another way to do this besides Spruce up?

  2. Yes I have made a DVD-XVCD, for series 1 of friends, I had to use a lower bitrate than 1150kbps to get all the episodes to fit. I used DVD workshop.

I did this last night with first 8 Episodes of Alias Season 1. It took a good 4 hour but I followed the directions in the VCD to DVD instruction that uses DVD MF 2 (it came with my burner) this morning I popped it in the DVD player and it worked, menu and everything. Pretty good stuff.

  4. What resolutin did yall burn your mpeg1 files? What project settings did you choose in your MF 2? I burnt one with 352x240 and quality wasn't that good. Should I convert them to 352x480 first?

I just left the resolution as standard DVD/MPG2 quality. As long as you have the box checked to not recode complient MPG then it won't re-encode them, it will only re-encode the audto from 44 to 48mhz.
