  1. Hi all,

I'm trying to do a DVD -> AudioCD conversion. I'm using SmartRipper 2.41 to extract only the AC3 or WAV stream, but I want it to create a seperate .ac3 or .wav file for each chapter.

I know there is the option to do this in the 'Settings', but even with this option checked I only ever get 1 output file which has the whole DVD audio.

Can anyone tell me how to use this setting correctly?

    Thanks,

    NiVZ

  2. Good question as I could never get that option to work for me.

I use Smart Ripper in chapter mode, then use DVD2AVI to extract the audio track for each VOB (possibly converting to WAV in the process).

  4. Ah, does it create a new VOB for each chapter?

For example, if there are 10 chapters you'd get 10 VOB's?

Maybe I was expecting too much thinking it would extract the audio stream only and automatically split it up into chapters at the same time.

I have used DVD2AVI to convert the AC3 to WAV before, but these days I use BeSweet or HeadAC3che.

    Thanks,

    NiVZ.

Yes, I get 1 vob each chapter. Then I take these one by one in DVD2AVI to get each audio track. Works like a charm.

  6. Thanks for that. It's been bugging me for ages.

I'll be trying that as soon as I get a chance ;o)

    Thanks again,
