  1. Rip Grinch DVD with DVD Decrypter but no audio. Also, rip Grinch DVD with VOB Edit, still no audio.

Please, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  2. Is it a DTS disk?

If so, you may not hear anything when you play it on your computer -- what happens when you burn a DVDR and play it? If still no audio, try using your remote to change audio tracks.

  3. Well, it does have a DTS stream but I only rip the main video and AC-3 stream. I haven't tried burning a DVDR yet, as I need to edit the movie first. Any other ideas?

  4. Yeah, my idea is the DTS stream is the primary stream and that's why you don't hear anything.

Burn the DVD and I'm sure you'll be okay.

  5. yeah,it actually might not have been the right files you ripped.ive seen that on a few of my newer discs.
    rips it ok,but no audio.
the solution i found was to use dvd decrypter to rip the entire disc, then put it in dvd2one and select the ac3 and dts soundtrack, and select "movie only" then let it start.then burn to dvd-r.
do that and i guarantee no problems in future.
theres no loss in picture quality,as it takes out all the extras like what you want, but leaves the dts and ac3 audio.
when the no audio problem happened to me,i noticed that it seemed to happen when the film is not the first programme or title on the disc.
    hope this helps.

  6. Thanks everyone for your help. The problem seemed to be related to the DTS audio somehow, even though I only ripped the ac3; I downloaded some additional audio codecs and filters and the audio appeared, so to speak.
