i just got my burner installed last night, have yet to make a dvd yet, but doing alot of research so when I get off work today, this weekend I can get things rollin.... anyway, i just downloaded DVD Shrink 2.2 and see that its pretty simple... i think if I get rid of most the extra audio and captions I should be able to compress it and get good quality... i dont know, cuz i havent done it yet.... but im hoping i can get most movies with 10-15%... is that right???

anyway, after I do all that, what program do I use to burn it to a dvd? which is best?

  2. I usually use dvd2one to fit to size. After I have my vobs I just burn with Prassi Primo DVD. Great tool for DVD burning, and I've never had any compatibility issues.

  3. I use Nero Express (OEM Version) to Burn DVD-Video. For data I use Roxio EZ CD Creator 5 Platinum or just drag-n-drop for DVD-RAM.

I have tried Nero, Roxio and Prassi Primo DVD and i have had the most success with no compatibilty issues using Prassi. Most people seem to use Nero.
    This is so much fun!

  10. I use Clonedvd now to burn all my DVD's most compatible I have seen, Also great for burning authored DVD's if they are a bit too large to put on a DVD it transcodes it to fit and burns it.
