OK, had some poor quality clips in a (PAL) iMovie project that I needed to improve. Opened them in QuickTime Pro, made changes to brightness etc.
Clips wouldn't import back into iMovie. Ah, I thought, the saved QuickTime clips were now in QuickTime movie format, which they were, so back to QuickTime and converted them to DV. Still wouldn't import back into my (PAL) iMovie project. HOWEVER they WOULD import into a new (NTSC) iMovie project. Conclusion: QuickTime Pro's DV convert to DV function only converts to (NTSC) DV. I can see no options in the preferences of QuickTime Pro to convert to (PAL) DV.
Thoughts, comments, workarounds?
(Yeah, I AM a Brit hence all this PAL nonsense!)
