  1. I have installed the capture card, but when I click on the icon windows xp
says there is a problem and has to close the program. So I went into
pctv assistant and did the device test and everything worked fine except the last bit where it tests to see if the device works. It says the device test has failed and it gives this explanation.

Probably no interrupt was assigned to the pctv or the interrupt in question is being used by another hardware device. Please use the device manager to review the configuration of your system and resolve the conflict.
    I have windows xp installed.

Could anyone help me with this problem.

    thanks

  2. It sounds like there might be a device conflict. Go to your system properties & check to see if there's any yellow exclamation marks beside it.
I have a PCTV pro myself,(albeit under Win 98 ), & they seem to be very picky about having their own IRQ's. Originally mine wanted to share with my display card. You could go into your PC's BIOS & manually assign one.

Alternatively uninstall the drivers,(or "roll back"), & then place the card into another PCI slot, hopefully Xp will have sorted out any conflicts there might be.

Not that its directly related but have you visited Pinnacles site for any driver updates?

    Hope it helps

  3. I am having this same problem with my Pinnacle PCTV...

I was wondering if you have solved the problem? If yes then how what did you do?

I am only having trouble since installing the bt848 drivers instead of the pinnacle drivers.

When I open up device manager there are 3 things listed in there for my card... they are:

    * Conexant's BtPCI WDM Audio Capture
    * Conexant's BtPCI WDM Video Capture
    * Pinnacle PCTV Data Service

Should the Pinnacle one still be there? Could that be causing the confilct. What is the Data Service is there a bt848 driver for data service?

I am only new to this so any helo would be appreciated!!!
