how to keep aspect ratio?

hi,

after buying and dvd+rw burner i want to burn my divx.avi to dvd.
i use Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2 to author my divx.(there is a option were you suppost to check or uncheck if you want to keep aspect ratio, but this is disabbeled???)
and now it will change my widescreen divx to fullscreen.

does anybody know an author program that will keep aspect ratio as the divx originaly was, which is widescreen.

I've tried everything i know so far.

You need to encode the divx to DVD complaint mpeg 1st, the tell DVD MF NOT to encode compliant files. Take a look at the convert section for help on doing this.

TMPGEnc Plus should be able to generate an mpg2 file with the correct aspect ratio that MovieFactory 2 or another program can write to DVD.

I don't think that MovieFactory2 can convert from avi to mpg while maintaining aspect ratio.
