    Hi.

I just downloaded the trial version of DVD Lab and so far it has the ability to do everything I want (menu wise). Having a problem though, when I import my footage and choose to 'DEMUX', the program splits my footage into two files --> file_0.mpg and file_1.pcm. The audio file has a '?' under 'Status' and says the file is PCM under 'System'. The problem is that the file will not compile this 'PCM' type audio. I tried to transcode it but get an error that says something like ' No such file or file is in use'.

Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

My footage is an MPEGII file captured with Dazzle DVC150. This only happens when I use the raw file. If I render the file before importing it into DVD Lab, I don't have a problem. But, I don't want to have to render a 90 min. file just to be able to compile it in DVD Lab (Not only is it time consuming but I notice consideralbe quailty loss when footage is rendered, no matter what program I've used).

    I would appreciate any help.

ps. I downloaded this software at the advice of some of the folks in this forum from one of my other posts. Even though I have this issue, this software >is< capable of making text menu's with motion background...very nice!

I found a fix for this so I'm responding to my own post for others who stumble across this issue...

DVD-Lab seems to not like the PCM file you get from some capture cards/devices. So, in my case, after letting DVD-Lab demux the original raw capture file. I used Ulead VS7 to change the audio file type (to PCM 48Khz stereo) then re-imported to DVD-Lab. This fixed my issue.

    Hope this helps.
