Hi, an am trying to create a DVD compliant file ready for burning from an AVI.
I run TMPGnc 2.5+ and then when done I open the file with TMPGnc Author and get this error...and that's as far as I get. I tried the GOP error fix in Womble and I'm not sure exactly what that does, but it didn't do a whole lot for me.
What do I need to do to fix this, very annoying issue.

See error and GOP Structure info from TMPGnc

    Hi bobbysox,

    Use this guide:

Configuring TMPGEnc for high-quality, DVD-compliant MPEG-2 (remember to rate it when you're done...)

...to help with your settings in TMPGEnc. It also gives good details on why you're (probably) getting the error you are.

That should do the trick for you... Good luck.
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

  3. In TmpGenc, GOP structure tab, "output interval of sequence header" needs to be set to 1 for DVD.

  4. if it helps you at all with putting the correct numbers for the gop, open tmpg and using the load button, load up it's dvd template and then you can just write down or use the same number settings they list for you. Or keep that template, then go to load, and use the one called "unlock" and then you can change all the settings to what you need while leaving the gop the way it is so you do not run into that problem again
