    How do I get rid of that extra line in the taskbar. I have quicklaunch and the language bar active, nothing else, but that line/divider is still there. This happened on my last restart. It's happened before and I don't know how I got rid of it.

    right click on the bar and highlight toolbars and see what you have checked and running. should only be quicklaunch and language bar for what you want.

    only the 2 are checked...nothing else.

    As for Norton, the settings are so that it doesn't scan incoming/outgoing email. Another problem I have to tackle. It won't connect to the server if I have that option checked.

    If I lock it then it goes normal, but then my language bar becomes a pain in the ass to use. I have to switch between Japanese and English depending on work. With the way it was before, I could 'slide' it out and have all the Japanese options there, but when locked I have to pull the language bar from the taskbar...it sucks
