Help is needed in creating back-up copies of Animation films from DVD's onto a VHS tape for my kids to watch (they are wrecking the DVD's the wee sh#ts).
I own an LG "DV2000" combi DVD/VHS unit, which I though I could create back-up VHS from the DVD using the clever "copy" button on the unit. Unfortunately it won't work, with a "copy protected" type message pop-up on the screen? It works from 2nd generation DVD's to a VHS, so I suspect its only the macrovision on the DVD's themselves that is preventing this!
I've already looked for info from this site, but only get advice on how to bypass the multi-region problems?? similar to the LG 5000 series unit apparently!
Any suggestions, does my unit need to be chipped, or is there an easier way?
please help before the DVD collection of "monsters Inc, Ice age" etc, etc is destroyed.
