divx avis to mpeg2 to DVD

I am using TMPGEnc to convert DIVX avis to MPEG2

Then Im using Ulead DVD Movie Factory 2 to convert the mpg to DVD

The problem is that I create a 3.9 GIG mpg but Ulead Movie FActory
says it will need a 5GIG disc

So I reduce the quality in TMPGEnc to produce a 2.9 GIG mpg but
Ulead Factory still says i need a 5 GIG disc

Whats going on ??

yeah i have excactly the same problem! so i reduced the size of my file. when i burnt it it only used half of the dvd!

Whats the story behind this anyone?
