hopefully someone here can respond quickly to this question. I'm trying to use IDVD on my powerbook
Ok i have a movie in mpeg2 format. I used QTpro to encode it to a mov file. However upon playing it back it looses it sound. If i encode the file with QTpro to an avi will it do the same? What format should I use that will enable me to keep both my vidoe and sound in place when i make the dvd???

Hmmmm. Your video is already in mpeg2... I think iDVD only accepts Quicktime files. Automaticaly encodes and makes the dvd files, then burns them. Since you already have the video in mpeg2, the audio must be getting stomped in the conversion process. You can probably work ot a solution converting the file into a Quicktime move that iDVD will like, but it would be easier to just use Sizzle (it is like DVD Studio Lite, http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/17331&vid=95199) to take you existing mpeg2 file and make the DVD.
