Hi Everyone,
I've had a Pioneer DV-344 for around 2.5 years now - good unit.
Over the last 6 months it's progressively gotten worse at playing CDRs i.e VCDs, SVCDs or music CDs recorded on CDR. The machine takes a while in trying to recognise the format eventually spitting out the CDR. On occasion, after several repeated attempts, it might get it and play but these typically not.
I'm guessing the cause is something to do with one of the laser units given the DV-344 still plays DVDs OK.
Would this be correct and if so, is it relatively easy for me to fix ? Again if so, any directions available in aligning the lasers etc ?
Any help in the right direction would be really appreciated.
Regards
Martin
