DVD mpeg1 is upto ~1856kb 352x240. Audio is dependant on your authoring software. DVDit! PE, Spruce and others take ac3, other DVDit!'s only use PCM. Audio is always 48KHZ and the muxed packet size is 2048.
I do mine at 1800kb/s with 192kb/s 2/0 ac3. You should be able to squeeze 5 hours per DVD-R.
TMPGenc doesn't create compliant mpeg streams on its own. If you want correct chapter placement use Mpeg Sequence Maker to replace TMPGenc's faulty GOP time codes.
You should create elementary streams and let your authoring package handle the rest. -
Thanks,
In the Sonic documentation you can read what is suitable for DVDit, the Mpeg2 can be 720x576, 352x576 or 352x288. I'm having problem to figur out what kind of encoding parameter should I use for DVD compliant mpeg-1. Something with profile and level?
