What settings did you use in TMPGEnc? Did you use same framerate as the original source?

  3. I used 25 framerate, it is me,myself and irene, pal.
    MPEG-1 352x288 25fps VBR 1550kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 224kbps
chould I try cbr? or is that not the problem? maybe just a bad burn?

  6. Okay, if it is a region 2 DVD, then the source will be 25 fps so this isn't the problem.

kimpan, why don't you try a standard VCD first (i.e., CBR MPEG-1). The fact that you are using VBR as well as a higher than normal bitrate could be your problem.
