  1. I got some cd's with a homemade movies (from friends), but the files is avi's and I want them on SVCD'(s). And I want as many as I can have on one cd but how does determind what bitrate to use? (without loosing qulity!)

    You will always lose quality, as mpeg is not a lossless compression method. You'll get least loss using highest possible bit rate (within specs) but that will (of course) also make the movies take up more space on the CD. So you wishes for "as many as I can" and "without loosing quality" are contradictions - you have to trade one for the other. Only you can be the judge of what's best for you.

    Quality is a personal judgement call.

    If you are using TMPGEnc to encode your MPG files, head over to Kwag's site and check out his KVCD templates. Some like the quality they produce, some don't. Your call.
