Does anyone know how to burn a MiniDVD with Nero 5.5? I tried to follow the guide in the Guides section, but that is for DVD's, not miniDVD's. I even tried to burn in Nero following the same steps, but When Nero went to write it said that it was the incorrect media type, and to insert the correct type before it could continue. Can anyone help me?
    Thanks

  2. a mini dvd is actualy a dvd burned on a cdr/cdrw.
so you need to author it as dvd and burn it as dvd.
the problem is that not many dvd players will play it.

i whould go with xsvcd because there is more chance that the dvd player will play it.

just multiplex the mpeg as svcd and burn as svcd in nero,
nero will tell you that you file is not compliant with the svcd standart
so you will have to tell it to ignore the deference.
i dont know what audio you use for your dvd, but you might want to
    make it mpg1 layer 2 at 48000.
this way you are ready to transfer it to dvd when the time comes.

    in short :
convert the audio to mpeg1 layer 2 at 48000
    and burn as x(svcd)

it has a better chance of working than minidvd

I've done XSVCD's, but wanted to try a MiniDVD, or CDVD. I used Ulead Movie Factory to author it, but it pulled up an error about burning it to CD as well. So I just had it creat the files on my HD, then I thought I'd use Nero to burn them. I think I might have found the answer, but I need to try it. I read that I need to burn the CD in the CD UDF/ISO format, to have it work. I tried the UDF format, but my DVD player picked it up as a VCD 1.1, so I'm going to try the UDF/ISO setting.
