    Can anyone tell me out there where i can get an mpeg 2 codec from? a free one preferably, i've had the elecard codec and hate it but also can't register the codec. i'm in urgent need of an mpeg 2 codec can someone help me out here?

    Install a trial version of WinDVD or PowerDVD. I'm sure that when teh trial expires the MPEG2 codec will still work with WMP.
