Hi all, I successfully put 4 hours of mpeg movies on one 4.7gb DVD-r with TMPGEnc DVD Author and SVCD2DVDMPG+. They are both great but not perfect. I have a pioneer changer and when I create the dvd with TMPGEnc, the screen shakes and made it not watchable. TMPGEnc also allow you to seperate the left and right channels to 2 selectable audio on a dvd. SVCD2DVDMPG+ doesn't allow you to make a nice DVD menu but picture is good when played on the DVD player. SVCD2DVDMPG+ doesn't allow you to choose audio channel for bilingual vcds.
Anyway, my problem is that most of my VCDs are PAL (25fps) and when I put them on a DVD-r, it became unplayable on my DVD changer. When it is a vcd, it plays fine. My question is how come my DVD player can convert PAL to NTSC on a VCD and not on a DVD? I don't want to convert all my vcds to NTSC because I found that I will lose some quality even with the highest quality settings. On the other hand, my friend's APEX. I am considering purchasing another DVD changer but I don't want to get crappy brand like Apex, Rowa. I had bad experience with them. Anyway, can anyone suggest which DVD changer is able to play Pal DVD-VCD? Please help.
