if I edit an mpg file in virtual D can I have a mpg file as the out put or does it allways has to be an AVI. If this is the case can I make a smaller file cause I dont have to much memory and since the movie is 85min I believe the file in AVI would be huge. By the way were can I find information on filters an how to use them.

No, Use TMPGEnc instead.

Select Video > Compression and use a DivX codec to reduce the size down.
