    is there any player out there that plays avi files? i know about players that play divx and mpegs....is divx esentially a better quality avi format?

    so back to the question is there any?

    Please only on post per topic.

    There are a few players that play DivX content. This is because they have a MPEG-4 decoder chip in them, not because they can read .avi.

    .avi is a shell. It stands for audio video interleave.
