  1. I've already converted one svcd to dvd and it seems fine.I used the guide on here using dvd2avi and tmpgenc. It took a long time to re-encode the svcds to dvd and I was wondering if there is a way of putting the svcds on to dvdr without re-encoding.The svcd is 480 x 576 pal 25fps.

Also Tmpgenc dvd author says you can put mpeg2 files in and author with no need to re-encode,but have tried it and it wont have it because the resolution is not dvd standard so it will re-encode!!!

    Any help appreciated.Thanks

There are a couple of questions you need to answer first:

    1. Are you in NTSC or PAL land?

    2. If you are in PAL land then I have the software for you that does not require re-encoding.

    3. If you are in NTSC land then your DVD player must play PAL DVD's and I have the software for you.

    4. If you are in NTSC land and your DVD player only plays NTSC DVD's then you must re-encode the PAL SVCD to NTSC DVD to play.

    The software is SVCD2DVDMPG
