Is there anyway that i can insert a new subtitle ? How ?
can i add a subtitle like the ones that are used in divx ? do i have to translate the english subtitles in the disc to portugues and insert then in the new dvd ?

Sorry I don't there is a way to add Portuguese subtittles, unless they are encluded in th dvd. The only way I can think of is to re-auther dvd and make your own subtittles. I can't help you with that though.

Hey, I was born in Portugal.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........

Changing dvd subtitles requires a lot of work.

    I would use this method:

Rip the english subtitles to a text format, with subrip or some other subtitle dvd ripper.

Rip the video(mpeg2) and audio stream(ac3/dts) from the dvd with for example smartripper or dvddecrypter.

Translate the subtitles to portugise(you could try search for portuguse subtitles for just that movie, www.divxsubtitles.net or some other subtitles site....).

Use ifoedit authoring to reauthor the dvds with new subtitles. Before you must convert the subs to ifo sup format with dvd subtitle converter(from www.doom9.org). Then add the video, audio and subtitles in ifoedit author and author. You will lose the menu and the extra materials.

I have not tested this method yet...
