I just bought my first DVD burner, DRU510A. Since I can only exchange in the store if defective for only two weeks, I wanted to know how can I test the drive? I am able to read CDs and watch dual layer Godfather DVD on it. I didn't burn anything yet. What kind of disks at what settings should I burn or what software can test the drive?
Software I currently have:
InstantCopy7
Pinnacle Studio 8
Nero
TMPEnc
DVD2ONE
Thank you.

Well, just grab any media you can get your hands on for testing. Im particularly interested in its ability to write at 4x dvd-rs like ritek and princo. My dru500a has the issue where it will only write to SOME dvd-r's at 4x. I figure if i get it swapped out with a 510a (if i can), i want to be sure the 510a's dont have that issue. because, otherwise this burners been good so far...
Where was the 510a made in?
