    I have bruce almighty and i am trying to convert to vcd to play on dvd player but when i follow the directions for using tmpgenc all i get is a blank screen when usually you can see the movie frames everything else seems to be going like its working. the file under properties says it is a ms-mpeg4-v3 is there another way I need to convert this file.

    Yes, wait until it is available commercially and buy the movie. That way, your conversion is done professionally, legally, and ethically.
