if you do work for ulead, then I have a very serious complaint

Tell me why the program doesn't show me how much space i have left. I don't re-encode my compliant files so i have been making dvd's that r to big.

I have sense stopped using the program as i dont' have time to waste.

    This is DVD Workshop.

  3. As long as you check the 'DO NOT CONVERT COMPLIANT FILE' check box, you should not experience any re-encoding using Ulead DVD WORKSHOP.

If you visit the Web page here...

    http://www.matroxusers.com/mreviews.php?op=showcontent&id=6

Scroll down to the bottom of the review of MediaStudio Pro and click the drop down box and then jump to the section entitled SMART RENDER IN DEPTH.

The logic behind DVD Workshop's encode and re-encode logic is explained.

Also, Ulead DVD WORKSHOP *does* provide the user with hard drive space and required space data.

This data is displayed during the final burn step on the MAKE DISC menu.

    Hope this helps.

If you continue to have troubles, then register your software and log in to the Ulead Web site and fill out the official tech support form located here:

    That does, thank you.

I was just thinking it might be more helpful if the program displayed a "space remaining" graphic like a bar or something at the edit stage.
