    I'm new to making vcds so this may be a really basic question. I used TMPGEnc to convert a mpeg in Divx4 format to an mpeg1 format. Then I used Roxio Easy CD creator to create a VCD. The VCD will play in my computer's software dvd player fine but when I put it in the dvd player (which says on it that it supports video cds) the dvd player just says "No disc". I'm wondering if I've done something wrong so that the dvd player won't recognize it? If I could get some idea of why it won't work I would appreciate it.

    Read a few threads in another forum which reckon its a lot to do wiv the quality of the cd yer use to burn onto...

    I have a Grundig GDV210a in case any1 reads this and has got it sussed...

    Wot system u got?

    maybe your dvd player can not read cdr or cdrw?

    it probally can't play vcd or cd-r/w
