  1. Hi, I`m trying to convert some videoclips of the BMW films to a SVCD and they are 24fps, can I use this framerate or do I have to convert to 23.976?

    Thanks

You have to convert to 23.976fps. This is easily done in TMPGenc. Just set the output fps to 23.976fps and on the advanced tab click the "do not framerate conversion" filter. As for audio, technically you should slow it down as well but its so miniscule of a change you won't get any sync problems so you can pretty much just ignore it.

If making a VCD than simply do what I said above. If making a SVCD than you have to enable the 3:2 pulldown while playback option under encode mode in TMPGenc, or run your video stream through pulldown.exe after encoding to add the 3:2 pulldown flags.
