  1. I use Virtual dub to convert my .dvi files to .mpg. But after conversion they are still in .avi format and not .mpg why is that? Is there anything i miss to do?

  2. As far as I know, VirtualDub does not have an MPEG encoder. It can encode to Divx and a few other formats but not MPEG.
    You can frame serve to TMPGEnc to encode to MPEG.
    There are many posts on this subject.
