I read somewhere that it was possible to setup a project with TMPG with all the filters needed and then save the project, then use the VFAPI program to convert it to a fake avi to import into CCE. My problem is, after I import the avi into CCE and try to encode it, I get an error message that states “ couldn’t find appopriate video codec for VIFP’ .” Just wondering what this means and if it can be corrected. Has anyone seen this error, or has anyone used this method with any success?

Ok I figured out that I needed to run the vipset.bat file to install the proper codec. It will not install for some reason. I downloaded this file 3 times from 3 different places. I have tried it on my xp machine and also on the win98 machine. When I click the vipset.bat file, it says finished but it is not installing. Somebody out there had to of run into this problem before. Why wont it install??
