I made a backup of a movie using DVD Decrypter and ripped all files into VIDEO_TS folder using DVD Decrypter. When I play on my pc using PowerDVD, certain chapters have no sound. But others do. Main menu of the dvd plays with sound. I know if the whole DVD has no sound it could be encryption issues, but why only certain chapters? Has anyone experienced this? Is this normal with DVD Decrypter? Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

no, that's no normal... I would try ripping again wth DVD Decrypter, if it has the same problem, try ripping that disc with Smart Ripper.

the only Decrypter problem I have is that on a few discs, it won't complete a rip, so on those I use Smart Ripper.

    otherwise, I'm at a loss....

The movie was National Security with Martin Lawrence. I've backed up other DVD's before with no sound issues. This was the first one I've encountered. Could it be that the discs are getting new types of encryption which DVD Decrypter can't decrypt? Maybe I've found something here! I've retried the same disc 3 times and the same spots don't have sound but other chapters in same movie do have sound. Kinda weird. Any other ideas?
