    I give up!

No matter what I do, what software, (Roxio, VCEasy, Nero), what media (tries all tyeps of CD-Rs, or which burner (internal HL-DT-St , Sony DRX500ULX), none of the VCD/SVCD play on my stand alone DVD player.

I was able to play VCD/SVCD I burned last week, now I cannot and do not know why.

Only thing I can see different is the color of the free space on the rim of the CD-Rs after burning. The non-working ones are darker in color at the rims after burning while the none working ones have rim areas barely noticeable different that the rest of the CD-R.

Is there some setting in Windows XP I have to change?

    Please Help.

Yes, all the CD-Rs I ever tried (including cheapo ones) all worked on my DVD player as of a little over a week ago.

Now none work on my DVD player, but the files are on the discs.

Seems that for some reason my computer is burning with a different format?

The VCD/SVCD do play on my Apex DVD player, but that player plays everything even open session discs.

Like I said the only difference I can see is that the non-working Discs rims are bruning to a much lighter color.
