    When I go to capture vid from my minidv using windows movie maker all I get is a black preview screen. I tried capturing anyway and it does not work. Also tried windv and it just says error no device detected.
    When I connect the minidv my pc is recognizing it and it the minidv is also listed in the device manager.

    This just started happening last week, and I have not installed anything in that time that would affect it.
    PC is Vista 32 bit. like I said it was working perfectly. Thanks.

    did anyone else use your box?
    sounds like something is really messing your OS
    try a system restore back to the time when it worked

    PS - You need to fill out your computer details for more help
