m2v_enc.dll & mpa.dll ---- Any clues

Anyone help with more aggrevation again with these poxy system files ??


Uninstalled quite a bit of software having a clear out to get rid of unused junk and clutter, using official uninstalls only, now my player is moaning about these two missing files, and I also think its causing problems with GTA - Vice City

I use Core MediaPlayer, which won't now play anything, but MS MediaPlayer 9 moans about the m2v_env.dll missing , but does play the files okay

Reinstalled Vice City, nothing, and sat scratching my head going through likely culprits to get these files back, still head scratching, still can't figure it out

Any clues will be gratefully recieved

Eventually solved it myself after more in-depth digging around, resorted to looking at a couple of associated filesd that were still around that showed they were from the nanocosmos software, then remembered I did have a fiddle with their MPEG encoder

Installed the demo, all cured


This time I WILL do a system restore point, in fact, I'm doing it right after this


Poxy .dll files, you remove stuff officially using uninstallers and it screws up other stuff that don't even use/need those .dll's
